Default I must be weird......

So I got my new 2 inch Extended forward controls last week in the mail, took my 93 softail to my brother in laws and put it up on the lift.....

you know how everyone gets there bike and starts buying stuff adding this adding that.......

I was looking at the bike thinking about how tough a time I was haveing getting my leg over it to climb on and then draging it back over the seat getting caught on the passenger seat looking very uncool both on the mount and on the dismount, you know what I'm talking about, so I say's to myself....self bet you could just slide ride on without that passenger seat on there........so wrench, wrench off it came.

then I was looking at the saddle bag's and thinking it would be much easier to reblack them and get them looking new again if I had them off the bike to work on them, so wrench, wrench off they came.

hmmmmm looks old school don't it with just that seat and no back crash bar or saddle bag's but those bolt holes in the chrome and rear fender are ugly so off the the hardware and some nice chrome hex head round bolts dress that right up...

now for those foot boards and forward controls wrench, wrench off they come.

on go the new chrome 2 inch extended, geeze the front crash bar dosn't line up right with the new controls.....wrench, wrench off it came.

Now that's better everything lines up and bolts in real good, Darn forgot the red lock tight, off everything comes and red lock tight on the threads and wrench, wrench controls are back on......hmmmmmm gosh I like the look of that but that rear break line dosn't reach to the new chrome master cylinder, duhhhhh it's 2 inch's short so off to the motorcycle/chopper shop in north st paul and a shiney new braided break line with adaptor end's to connect it up to the rear caliper and the master cylinder...

bleed the line and look for leaks, wow worked perfect the first time, that had to be a record or something....

So yesterday lowered the lift and backed it off, started it up, let it warm a few minutes, slid my leg over and plopped my *** into the seat, wow I know I looked cool, looked out of the corner of my eye to see if anyone was watching me looking cool....only my brother inlaws cat for a witness and he was licking his paw uninterested in anything I was up too....

put up the kick stand, kicked it into first, putted down the alley made the left onto the street, and down the road I went........the smile on my face is still there and I think it was there all night while I slept...

will post a pic as soon as I can find the digital camera..........[sm=smiley4.gif]
