Default What size cables??

Need some good advice on this... I'm going with 16" apes on my 01' Heritage and want to get some advice on what size and type I should use. They will be stainless, but just not sure with length. I have been trying to find a good deal on a set of brake, throttle and idle. I have a throttle cable already. Any suggestions would be a big help, thanks brothers and sisters!

Try doing a search. there are countless threads on this exact subject. Of course I can't remember how long the cables need to be. I think +6 or 8.

Measure.........you want to be SURE. Mock up the bars and run a piece of twine or whatever and get an accurate measurement. Being an inch or two too short will ruin your day, and too long looks silly.
I recommend magnum chromite cables ......they look good, are made well, and seem to be reasonably priced. Are you doing the install yourself?

Thanks for the replies! I will measure them for accuracy. I am doing the install myself. I was a little confused on the length and type. I'll check the search engines and see if carb and F/I cables are the same or not.
