94 fatboy trip meter issue

Default 94 fatboy trip meter issue
My trip meter has lost its mind! I just recently purchased a 1994 Fatboy with less the 800 miles on her. After getting the bike checked out and making sure she didnt leak like a seive I went ahead with the purchase. When the bike is moving it is changing all four numbers at the same time. I changed my battery and thought that might be part of the problem. The speedo and mileage work perfectly but the trip, not so much. The bike has checked out on previous owner and the mileage on the bike so tampering isnt really a thought...Anyone have this problem?

Yep I was a bike I just stumbled onto...One of those once in a lifetime type of deals...
