That was the deal breaker for me. Wanted the sampson, but dealer said (sert, aircleaner)would be needed. at $2000 and another $1500 for pipes with shipping to Aus. No way i could justify spending that for a little more sound.need other stuff first.Maybe later .

I have V&H true duals, they look way better than the Samsons, touché, and they sound great with the Q-baffles. I have a race tuner, and I get almost no popping/backfiring. If it does that, it is not tuned correctly for your setup.
V&H true duals are nice and look awesome but it they do heat up the left side of the bike..You really notice it if you are short, if I'm not careful, I would burn my leg...
V&H's pipes look like the fish is dead and bloated.....floating upside down....touche' back at ya...
I agree!! the pipes them selves are great, but those fishtails ends are UGLY!!! I've seen them on bikes and the first thing that came to mind was "DAMM THOSE FISHTAIL ENDS LOOK LIKE SH*T". I definatlely made the right choice with Samson. Now if you could stick a Samsom longtail on a V&H pipe that would be a cool setup. But V&H sure sh*t the bed when they designed their fishtail ends. IMO
Have the VH true duals on my heritage classic 09 and so far no complaints. all true duals will feel like they run hotter on the left side, but I believe that is only cause the left side is finally getting the full exhaust not like cross overs and also this the massive first bend that will keep things hotter. But they run great and have had no undue issues with heat from them
