had the pciii and it worked great after a good dyno tune. I changed the pipes and did not want to have to pay for another dynotune. I found a used thundermax with auto tune and it works great. i just got back from a 1400 mile trip to the mountains and went from 1100 elev to 10015 elve and it retuned and worked great
Just by being EFI it should have self corrected. The ECM is smart.

Do you switch out the ECM with the Tmax?
thundermax replaces the stock ecm and it gives you a choice of AFR because it uses wide band o2 sensors. do a search on the forums and you can learn about ECM and o2 sensors and why fuel management is needed for efi even on a stock engine.

I went with TTS tuner but after buying it and getting it dyno'd I spent almost as much as what a Tmax cost. If it works as good as it's supposed to I kinda regret not getting it. The TTS is good though. It takes more fussing around with it but with a laptop and some patience it can be tuned very well.
Auto tune is more $$$ and it will adjust as you ride, like a Tmax does. I went with SERT I love it, I have been playing with it, I guess I am too much a gearhead.
