I have a 2006 Deluxe. Its one of those HD "Special" Paint colors, according to the dealer at the time I bought it. I have not seen any other Deluxe's this color but did see some sort of Deuce this color a few years back. Apparently they only painted the bikes this color from October - December 2005. The color is Scarlet Red over Charcoal Satin Brite Pearl. Does anyone know if they only painted a certain number bikes this color or did they paint as many were ordered in the color? I asked the dealer I bought it from and they had no idea.
Below is a pic of it, please dont look too close, this was after getting caught in a bit of rain.
First if I have seen with this color scheme. Sorry I do not have an answer for you but I think that you could write the Motor Company and ask. Did you buy it new? I like it, it does not have the deluxe badge like most do.
Yes it was bought new like that, without the badge. The made a total of 4 "special" color combinations that year with each color made for only 3 months. Like I said Ive only seen one other bike made in this color but have never seen a Deluxe.
Ill try writing the MoCo and see what I can find out if I get no other responses. This isnt something I need to know just something Id like to know.
Apparently I was wrong its only 3 special colors that year. Here are the other two.
