Don't get me wrong, I love the stock seat on my 07 Softail Custom, but on days where I'm clocking over 300mi, even it does start to lack in back support.
I'm wondering if any of you guys have some recommendations for alternative seats that have a rider backrest. I'm planning to ride to sturgis this summer and am trying to dial in the comfort factor now, so everything's "just right" for those long-mileage days that we'll see on that trip.
I have the same bike and spent some time searching for a comfy solo for it. It's going to be hard to beat the stock unit for comfort, and if you find one let me know as I've given up for the time being.

I put a Corbin Gunfighter with backrest on my FB. So far I love mine but next week will be the real test when I ride to Americade. I have more pictures posted if you click on my profile.
I would have gone with the classic solo and passenger pillion but the passenger pillion won't fit if you have a luggage rack installed to your HD backrest.
+1 on the Corbin. The widowmaker is a king/queen specifically made for your (our) bike. It uses the stock sissy bar but has a higher passenger backrest than stock. You'll also sit a little lower.
