Oh man, talk to Wiggs because my 250 barely fit. I think D. Wiggs used a larger width wheel and has a few 32nd's of and inch to spare. Still waiting to see what's the best front to match. The fender has room to spare, but the belt is close to rubbing the tire.
Speedsnice, your right the Elite 3 is for a 21" rim. Can you verify that the front tire you are using is a bias-ply?

It should be the bias-ply tire, they only have it as a bias ply on the Dunlop website. They also make the 90/90/21 (bias ply) that they recommend to be used with the 250/40/18 custom wide radial applications, they are contradicting themselves. One part of the websites says not to mix radials and bias ply but then they recommend using the bias ply size tire with the wide radial rear. So far the bike feels fine, I will see what happens with more mileage on the tires.
can i squeeze a 260 on my rock without having to go to the Heartland kit?
Alain the 250 barely fits with the stock fender, it's very close to the lower belt guard and belt. The tire is also very close to the screws that hold on the tail lights. The 260 would be too tight, the Heartland kit adds clearance.
I'm not sure you could do it without the Heartland. Even with the Heartland, the 260 is a c*nts hair away from the wheel. I just hope that my fat a*s doesn't lean to far to the left to prove it. . .

The 250 rear would look good on your bike.
i agree with ya, when it's time to get a new one, i'm definitely going with the 250 on my bike.
