I currently have an '06 Superglide and like the bike alot. But, I really, really like the Heritage. I have seen a couple in the 2-tone rootbeer color and it is the most beautiful bike I have ever seen. I have not riden a Heritage, but probably will in the near future. My question is what are the differences in the two bikes? Both good and bad!
the looks, the bags, the looks, the bars, the looks, the seat, the looks, the front end, the looks, the rear end, the looks, the shield and ohh did I say the LOOKS of it.......
And I've heard that black is faster and LOOKs realy really good....!!!!
One BIG difference is the ride...Super glide = Volkswagen ....Heritage = Rolls Royce. I agree about the Root beer, But I Like My Big Flake Purple and Brilliant Silver better.
One ride on the Heritage and you won't look back! It's a whole different bike. Can you say "Softail"? Chips said it best, you ride "in" the bike, not "on" it.
To me the big diffrence is the handling, esp on the hiway. The dyna handles lika a over grown sportster. The heritage handles like a touring bike. The FL front end feels more solid and planted on the road. The fx front of the dyna follows rain grooves and cutouts much more. I'll never own a FX front end bike again. The dynas ride is more cushiony because of the exposed shocks but the heritage is a very acceptible ride. Next best thing to a full blown touring machine is a FL softail. Ride one you'll see. Oh yea, the looks. The softail is Harleys best looking bikes.
