Mine are 40's as well, rim size is 18 x 5.5 The Avon tire profile is quite a bit shorter than the original Dunlop, coupled with the slightly larger rim diameter really opens up the back end. zss42002 is totally right, no BS, they bolt right on, no guess work on pulley and axle spacers. The front wheel used the stock spacers, on the back wheel, the brake side uses the stock spacers, the pulley side they included a pulley spacer that was about 3/8" thick, and an axle spacer about 1/2" longer than stock. My axle / belt tension adjuster bolts are in the same position as the stock wheel, and the belt tracking runs spot on.

Ha! perfect, needed an excuse to update the rear wheel along with the front and I think I just got it. After I posted this I went to that dunlop sight to see if perhaps it was an 18"er on the back. Didn't look to hopeful! I'll check out the Avon's.

5.5 or 6.5? My stockers are 6 and I am considering 6.25 with a 200/55R-18 on the back. I think we were sporting the same rubber out the back end? What Avon are you wearing in the back?
I went with the 5.5 so the side wall didnt look so prominent, so instead of the sidewall going straight into the rim, it bends inward. The stock Dunlop side wall is 2 1/4" and the Avon (200/55-18) sidewall is 1 1/2"
The bars and risers came from my local stealer through Drag Specialties. I was able to use my stock throttle cables but my clutch cable I had to go +6. The forward controls are stock posistion, but I changed the pegs, brake pedal and shifter.
Upswept exhaust.......hmmm.....dang bro your gonna get me in trouble with my OL
