The only change I know for sure is the wiring for the fuel gauge. I don't know how it's different though. I picked up a black flush mount fuel gauge for an '08 thinking there wasn't any difference between an '07 and an '08. I was wrong. Now the orange light stays on all the time and the fuel gauge itself reads full all the time. Any ideas anyone? If so PM me, I don't wanna hijack the thread.
I think if you do some research you will learn how to wire the gauge so it will work properly. There must be some variation between kits about a 'bypass' wire which takes the stock low fuel light out of the equation. If you didn't run a long grey wire up to your speedo then you should take a look at that. I might still have my old wiring diagram if you can't figure it out.
An electrician I am not. I am also not anywhere near my bike. I have a buddy who owns an indie shop who is looking after my bike while I'm away. The diagram would be extremely helpful.
08 and 09 went to that dumn assed electric throtle chit...............wow spellings bad but not going back cuz been drinking .................
Care to elaborate? When installing my apes I put on a new +12 throttle cable which runs directly into the throttle body which works the butterfly - directly.
