Is Harley's extended service plan worth it?They want $814 to add 2 years to the factory 2 years for a total of 4.I can go all the way to 7 years, but thats not an option.Too much money.Whats your opinions guys?Do I need it?I have a month to decide.
I disagree. I pushed mine out to 7 years and got the tire and wheel package. Bike got a flat and needed to be towed to the dealership. I got a $110 tow, a $160 tire and one hour of labor at $75 for free. That paid for itself. I had a buddy of mine have a engine let go on him 3 years after he bought his deuce and he had it. New engine...free. It's your call but I rather cover my butt in the event something breaks and I didn't have $3000 just sitting around to get it fixed.
Got the 5 year extension on mine , never used it ! If I had it to do all over again I would not - think the factory 2 year is good enough ! If you decide to get the extended warranty , it is very NEGOTIABLE , get the 5 yr for the price of the 2 yr ! I paid real close to your price for 5 extra years . The economy sucks as you know - make them deal to sell you that bike , good luck !!!
I already have the bike. They gave me 90 days to add the warranty and I got about a month left to decide.I sure could put a few extras on the bike for that money.Anyone have any major problems after the intial 2 year warranty?
I bought an extended warranty on my first bike, but haven't since. However, the reason I don't is because I tend to change bikes every year or two. I have a very short attention span. I was actually expecting to trade in my rocker for a big dog k9 this month, but decided to just put some more money into it and customize it a bit. Hopefully I can keep a bike around longer than 2 yrs this time haha. Anyhow, if you plan to keep the bike for a long period, I'd get the warranty. Never know what may come up.
