Does anyone know the tooth count on a rear belt sprocket of a 2008 softail? I kept counting 66 but that seems odd, I thought they were 65 tooth...must have miss counted? Has anyone tryed going from a 65 tooth to a 70 tooth sprocket for extra bottom end power?
im sure someone in the great wide world of after makret parts makes a 70t that is the width of a 66? or i wonder if the new 68 off the 09 would be the same width? I have also been kicking the idea of the Evloution industries 30t primary sprocket kit...seems like that kit would do what i want
If you want more low end from a pulley swap, swap out the one inside of the primary where the front of the belt attaches too. this is a pretty common swap. Or you could swap the gearing on the primary chain for the same effect.
i have heard that swapping the primary gear is a major job. also i have not seen the 68 tooth sprocket. what model would that be from? i also understand they use 70 tooth in europe.
