I'm figuring out which day bag to get for my Rocker C (which is waiting for me at the shop). I had enough of backpacks during my army days, so that's out of the question.
I'm leaning towards a handlebar roll bag, such as this one from Fox Creek Leather, but it seems that proper fit can be a challenge with these types of bags.
Anyone have experience with a particular bag, or further ideas?
I had a small roll, or Bronson bag on my risers, but it did something to the air flow and made a weird buffeting action right at face level. Drove me nuts.
See if you can test ride one first, or strap a jacket or something to the front end and go for a ride and see how it feels before you drop some dollars on it.
Now I wear a Walmart backpack if I have to tote something home. (And I was Navy, we had Marines to carry our heavy stuff )
Just kidding, J-heads!
Contact Shaun @ sokustums.com He can fix you up with any thing you can dream up in leather. Check out his site. He just did a tool roll for me. All the tooling is one off so you don't run around lookin' like you got your **** at a rally for 19.99
I have a solo saddlebag and a roll bag for the bars. I only use the roll bar on long trips, and the solo saddlebag for "local" rides. The roll bag works like a small windshield for me.
