Hey all. My bike came with the drag bars installed. They look great, but they have my arms fully extended to reach them. Just wondering if anyone who has swapped their bars out would want to get rid of them? Or does anyone know of a set that have a similar rise, but maybe an inch or so more pullback than the stock (not drag) bars?
Funny you mention this. I just ordered a set of the Harley Drag Bars and all corresponding diamondback cables (thinking there is no way anyone would want to trade for stock bars). Items were special order through the dealer, so I will soon have a stock set of bars and cables from a 2008 Rocker C if interested.
I recently rode by buddies Rocker (FXCW) with the drag bars and I like the feel and ride it gave (I'm sure the bars combined with the FXCW seat may have had something to do with it as well). However, it did'nt bother my 5'9' frame (31" inseam). I felt a little more in control. Maybe I'm just use to my 98 Buell S-1 White Lightning
Dont have pics yet, but meaning to get some on here (just gotta figure out how). Right now it isn't too bad (I'm 5'10"), but my DG seat just got here, and I hear it puts you back a little further still, so it will probably make the situation worse. Just trying to remedy that now. I may hit you up for those bars, although I have a few pms with offers now. And funny YOU mention it TX, my other ride is a 99 Lightning X1. Wow! Great minds do think alike!
