The V is half the size of the III, so that should help. I'm trying to learn more about the V myself; I may replace my III with it. I like the autotune module system with the wide band O2 sensors, and Dynojet seems to make a reliable product.

my thundermax broke today, my fault. i cut the wires to the data port. i like how the bike stayed working in open loop with the same map the closed loop had. i solder the wires back and i am up and running, love my thundermax and i can carry the hd ecm as emergency part if needed. can do that with pcv. if your ecm stops your dead

Thundermax's website sucks ***. I looked around for awhile for maps or something that looked like maps, and tried to download the software but the zipped file was missing a dll so I got a fatal error. Iread their FAQ's trying to find out why I needed new o2 sensors and harness since my 09 already has those. That was a bust too. looked for dyno info and all they had were two and both of those were for N2o. overall, NOT much of a confidence builder.

maybe you should try youtube first and they make it simple for most people to understand.
the maps are part of the software you download.

I just ordered the TTS Mastertune. I would look into it as well. It is alot cheaper and for some of us, no matter how nice the Thundermax system may be, it is just too much to shell out. Most agree that the TTS is a much better unit then the PCV and many argue a better unit then the Thundermax (works with the factory ECM and controls things like pinging, etc. that the Thundermax does not), and there isn't any fitment issues with the TTS. Most sellers are selling the PCV for $299, if you pick up the autotune for it I think I remember it being over $200 (don't quote me on this). I picked up a brand new TTS system off Ebay for $400 including shipping of about $25 to Canada.

Like I said, I can't comment on Thundermax, it seems like a great system, and if I was trading in my bike every year I probably would have gave it some more thought, but as it is, it was just way too much for me to justify spending right now.

Do a search on the TTS Mastertune and you will see it has as many loyal followers as the Thundermax.

I just watched the Thundermax videos and it looks simple and kick ***. I also like the idea of the TTS as it uses the factory ECM. My question to anybody that knows is. 1)Can you set up the TTS without a dyno? If you can that seems like it would also be very cool. 2) In the set up of the TTS can you set the AFR in closed loop to what ever you want? or will it go to the EPA number of 14.6-1? Sorry if these are dumb questions. I come to this forum for ideas and to learn. And believe me, I have learned a from here. PS. Now if someone could teach me how to spell we all would benifit.

The install looks simple enough, except i couldn't find the answer regarding the O2 sensors.

+1. People upgrade from a PC to a TTS. Never heard of anyone replacing a TTS for a PC. The PC is easier regarding loading a map that is a tune from "another" bike. The thing is, not all tunes and bikes are created equal. And, maps are not available for all combination of cams, pipes, displacement, head work...

Thats the great thing about TTS and the Vtune application it comes with. It utilizes your 02 sensors and you tune the bike yourself. Its a tune for your build and from your bike, however you want. Call them, they are very helpful.

+1 Zippers Thundermax w/Autotune.
easy install, good customer service & no need for dyno tuning.
I just switched out my Rush slip-ons (2") for Rinehart Crossbacks got on the bike and went for a nice 200 mile ride yesterday and the bike ran awesome. Very impressed.

You can find the Thundermax w/Autotune on Ebay or on the forum used between $400-$500.

If your using the Autotune module you need the new O2 sensors that come with it because they are wide band sensors.
The stock system uses narrow band sensors and will not work with the Autotune module.
