Default fuel management

I have an 08 Crossbones and have been thinking about the screaming eagle intake, fuel management, the Vance and Hines big radius 2-into-1, and changing the seat. Does any one have any thoughts???

Personally I'm not so sure the V&H BR pipes or SE intake will 'fit' the overall look of a Crossbones as well as a couple of other designs.
But its your bike, do what you want.

Just don't forget to post some pics or we'll ban you for life.

Thanks for the quick reply but does any one have any ideas for fuel management. I know about the power commander but I'm looking for something a little nicer.

If your looking for something 'better' than the PC-III or PC-V you can get the HD SERT program, its a PC/laptop based program and an interface module/cable that gives you the ability to adjust just about anything, and everything in the ECM's programing. But its not a simple cut and paste thing, once used on the bike the interface permanently marries itself to the bikes VIN number making it useless for any other bike, like your next one. Your also going to have to get educated on EFI systems so you know exactly what your doing. Its not especially hard to understand, but it does take time and your still going to need a shop with a dyno in the end to get things 'fine tuned'.

For something 'better', and a bit more 'user friendly' I would recommend (I use one in my bike) a Zippers Thundermax w/Autotune. Your still going to have to learn how to make or modify MAP's. But the unit comes with a fair number of base MAP's on the CD, and you can download more from their web site that you can use as a starting point.
If you get confused or have any questions about one your installing, their tech support isn't bad either.
One word of caution, the system is not cheap, but you do get a complete ECM replacement system that will run the bike exactly the same way the stock ECM does. But you also get the PC/laptop program (you can even download it for free so you can play with it and see how it works) to load and adjust MAP's into the ECM just like the SERT does with the stock ECM. But with the Autotune module and wide band O2 sensors installed it will automatically fine tune the installed MAP, virtually eliminating the need for dyno tuning.
So even if the system costs more to begin with, it doesn't care what the bikes VIN is and you can move it to a new bike later if you like or need to and eliminating the need for dyno tunes can save you a significant amount of money over time.

There are a couple of other 'replacement' systems out there but I have no experience with them and can't say if they are better or worse than the TMax. But if you look around here you'll find the subject has been brought up and discussed a number of times in the past.

Infinitely tweakable and something that I wouldnt need to take in to the dyno.

Power Commander V is plenty nice. Especially if you get the auto tune module.

Is there some reason you think its not nice?

I have heard there are some space issues with the Crossbones similar to Fat Boy
so fitment could be an issue with the PC V
