Question Rear shocks problem

Has anybody had this same problem:
Tried to adjust rear shocks on my Rocker C (needed to stiffen it up a bit)
Could only get the claw spanner (for turning the adjusters inside cannisters) behind 1 of the shocks, the other one is about 8mm further back and the spanner won't go in because of the frame cross bar.
Took the bike back to dealer and the mechanic says he has never seen this before, possible faulty shock. Both shocks should be parallel!
They are taking the bike in on the 3rd July under warranty
Just wondering has anyone seen or heard of this and should they replace both shocks?

I'm no mechanic, but logical reasoning would lead me to think that if one shock has failed in some way that it would be putting added stress on the "good" shock.

If you were thinking about lowering your ride, now would be a good time. I'm sure you could probably work a good deal out for both you and the dealer on a set of lowering shocks. Just a thought...
