Whats up fella's? Well im already thinking of my fall/winter mods and what comes to mind is a new bar setup. As of now im running Chubby 503's but i am considering Apes(16"-20") or Beach bars(36"-38.5"). So you guys with your Apes or Beach bars how do you guys like your bars? Comfort/style/functionality? Pics of your set-ups would be great....ty

Comfort will probably depend on your height. Beach bars kill my back. I love ape hangers.... the look and the way they fit me. With 16" apes, my Heritage feels like it was made for a 6'5" rider. My wife and I rode over 200 miles last Saturday (our first long ride since swapping bars). I am so proud of my bar choice! My hands never went numb, my back or butt wasn't sore afterwards... love 'em!

I'm 5'-11"....what brand are you running there? I do like some pullback in apes do to the push foward look. I dont like for the apes to align at the same angle as the forks. Makes the bike look more raked for some reason

They're Wild One 16's. I forget the specs, but they have the right amount of pullback. I have them pushed up almost vertical and my wrists rest in a natural position. I had the factory 8.5" bars pushed forward to give me more room, but that turned the ends of the grips upward. I would lose feeling in my fingers after a few miles...

I've had both on my current Fatboy along with 4 other sets of bars along the way. I just put my beach bars back on after switching to apes. The apes looked cool but to me they just felt wrong on my bike. I liked the way they looked but the bike feels more stable and comfortable with the beach bars.
Check my gallery for pics. I went from HD's thick wide beach bars to Carlini's (18" flyin' apes). Carlini's are sweet and state of the art bars, they have a strict Q.C. They also come "taller than they appear"... meaning 16" carlini's for example, will be (or at leats feel) taller than regular other brand 16"ers.
