Introduction & Deuce Question
Hello all, I'm Steve and fresh to the forum. I own a 2003 deuce with a 95in upgraded engine. Also have the sert. Problem i'm having is I can hear my Valves or pushrods clicking when I'm riding and it's not cheap gas, I only use premium. I've taken it to latus a couple of times to see if they could tune the map and remove the ticking, but it seems like it may be the valves clicking or as a friend said it may be the pushrods need adjustment. My million dollar question is 2 fold, has anyone else had this problem and if so what is the resolve for it, I rode a friends softail custom the other day and it was so quiet, it was loud with the pipes but when i idled at the stoplight it just purred, I really am worried about this noise, please point me in the right direction if anyone is familiar with this.
Thanks and I'll be happy to help with any issues i've dealt with already and trust me when i say I love my harley but i've had issues i've had to deal with.
Thanks!

yep except i don't know if that's what is wrong with it, that's why i'm asking this forum for some insight. I took it back to latus twice and they tried to tune it out using my race tuner. Not happening, they couldn't or wouldn't just ride it and listen to the noise and anyone can tell it's not a ping from gas.. Anyhow they put 25121-03 S.E. 251 cams in with a 25533-99A cam drive gear retention, so i'm guessing it's a gear cam. also says they ordered two cam chains a primary and secondary along with pushrods and tappets. 1 early billet cam plate w/oil p, 2 brg cam rollersTC
I have SS510 gear drive cams and yes you wll hear valve /pushrod clicking at a quit stop light I heard it and kinda worried so had the valves rechecked for clearance all is good so now I ignore the sound ..
