Ok fella's need some input. I have been running Amsoil 20w50 V-twin in my Engine & Primary, and 75w110 severe gear in tranny for about 15,000 miles in my 07FXST. I have had great operation of the bike since then, smooth shifting and cool running engine. My question is I have been doing alot of reading on Redline oils, and thinking of changing over to it. If i could get some of you Redline users to give me some testimonials on your experience good or bad, and how many miles you've been using it would be very helpful in finalizing my decision. Also has anyone purchased from this company, they seem to have a good deal on the Redline Oil kit. http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/p...Oil_Powerpacks

Switched to redline from mobil 1 about 15000 miles ago. I run cooler..temp guage at about 200 in the heat of the summer. 20-50 (they make a 20-60) and then primary and tranny specific Redline products. I don't knnow what Amsoil runs but Redline is certainly more expensive than Mobil.
I cahanged from BelRey to Redline V Twin Trans with ShockProof about 5000 miles ago and am very happy with it, real smooth and positive shifts. I have tried HD Formula, Syn 3 annd BelRey but like the Redline best.
I also just changed the Primary to Redline V Twin Primary about 400 miles ago and the clutch engage ment seems smoother. I have used HD Formula and Syn 3 in the Primary but also think Ill stay with the Redline.
Been running Redline Heavy Shockproof in my transmissions on my '03 and '07 Heritages. Between the two bikes I have over 120K miles with this oil. Absolutely NO problems. I won't use anything else.
I have about 100 miles on my 96 Heritage Classic that I bought used a couple weeks ago. My first Harley. I also read a lot of testimonials on the Red Line transmission that seemed to be from the east coast. Based on those testimonials, I just changed to Red Line Trans oil today. Have a whopping 5 miles on it. Changed the engine oil to Mobil 1 for V-Twins. Too early to tell for sure but I think its working better. For a source, try SUMMIT RACING. I believe they're in the Reno area. ( www.summitracing.com ) I bought a quart of V-Twin Trans Oil (PN. Red-42804) $13.95 for the oil and $4.95 shipping and handling to central coast of California.
I started using REDLINE in all three holes after my 5K service and couldn't be happier with their products. I did a three day trip from Southern California to the Grand Canyon, 1,142 miles and the bike ran cool and the REDLINE handled the 100+ degree temps of the desert with ease. Trans shifts great, finding neutral is a breeeze. If I'm not mistaken REDLINE is the only group V motor oil on the market. Good Stuff !
Redline just signed an agreement with Osh Hardware Stores for distrubution , you can also buy from Cycle Gear Stores either in store or on line. Or direct from Redline online
