Talk about versitility. From mild to wild. From here to there A-Z and all points in between.
after looking a new ones, i also found this used one..................here is a pick of a potential bike here im thinking of picking up, in general its a 2005 with about 12,500mi....looks pretty stock, but has pipes and huge ugly bags/package rack/backrest set that would have to be yanked. they are asking around $10,700 for it but i think i have arguing room......whats your thoughts in general overall?
i'm thinking that the 10k difference between this one a new one..........i can spend more on mods for this and be well, well under a new one....i think this is going to be my new project this weekend......

I wish I had bought used but at the time they were few and far between.I won't ever buy a new bike again, there are just too many clean low mile rides out there.G

Amen to that. I buy new dirtbikes and if I were a Metric guy I would go new there as well.
Those are machines that seem to quickly go to crap as they age.
Harleys on the other hand? Loads of durt cheap pristine bikes out there and with they just seem to get better stuff on em' as they age!
I wouldnt even consider trading my 05' even up for a bone stock 09'...They are that good years after the fact and often better used than new with the bonus "Stuff" that the guy before you added.
Dont forget if the fat 200MM stock tire is an important item to you? Buy an 06+ bike.
07+ gets you the 96" motor which is a stroked version of the 88" with a much improved cam chain tensioner setup stock.
