Thanks for that link! I was wanting to see the size difference in the Head Trip and a novelty lid. Nice! That helmet is exactly what I've been looking for!

I have a DOT Daytona 1/2 helmet. It's smaller than most DOTs. I've been thinking about the ACC (headtrip) 1/2 helmet, but i'm not sure if it will be smaller than what I already have. Anyone know if which is smaller: Daytona or ACC?

It is the best 1/2 I have found for riding w/o windshield if you adjust the sliders on the straps next to your ears very little lift.

Comes with three different thicknesses of foam for fine tuning the fit.

Quick release strap. This is the real deal!!!

+1 on HeadTrip. By far the smallest DOT I have seen and very comfrortable. i forget it's on sometimes. It's very light.

I know you directed your question directly to Coop, but I thought I'd chime in since I got a price that was much better than direct. I got my HeadTrip from helmetshop.com

THey have ACC/headtrip helmets for $161 and they usually keep a good amount in stock. If you buy direct from ACC you will pay $185 and they take 3 - 4 weeks because they have to make it.

i wear half helmet ... although every once in a while i'll strap on the old full face street bike helmet for sentimental reasons ... although i have to admit it looks a little ridiculous when cruising a fatboy at 65 mph ...

might want to check these out ... not cheap but they're light weight and legal ...

You didn't have an "All of the Above" option. I have multiple versions, at least one of all types. For me it depends on the weather, the intended roads, in city/on freeway, length of the planned ride, etc.

To each his own...

I wear a ACC/headtrip (black candy ext. half) but dont get fooled its NOT the size of a novelty, much larger. But still smaller than most DOT half helmets. Very light in wieght and built well. I also wear a Fulmer V2(silver bobber) at nite time. This helmet looks like a giant reflector which is perect for the evening time.
