I just installed this springer on my '06 Train. I powdered the rear tubes in gloss black and the front tubes in wrinkle black to match the engine.
I did the Heartland kit too.....
Most companies will tell you not to install raked springers until you cross the 45* rake on the neck. You still have to consider rake and trail with a springer. It's just calculated different.
The springer will look very nice on the rocker! Good luck with it!
Refuze - I fired it up on Sunday. Got a few little things to button up and then I'm gonna run it to a shop that can build the front brake line. I'm going to run it inside the rear tube.
Mopar - why didn't you run the brake line inside the tube? Makes for a much cleaner look.....
Glad to hear that you are getting closer TX. It's funny really, as I was no more than two hours ago, looking at the bobber 250 kit on Heartland's website. I was thinking to myself, self, that would look so fvcking sweet with that black springer combo. And then, here you come with just the same chit!! I had totally forgot that you had this same setup.

Very nice job springing the Night Train. Hard to tell by the photos, do you have offset trees or 0 offset trees. If you have offset trees how does it handle? If you have 0 offset trees how did you handle the clearance of the fuel tank? I am thinking your running 0 offset like I am. I pulled my fuel tank back to make clearance for more swing from trees. I lost a little slow turn radius but is very workable.

Call me crazy but I preffer the look of it out there. I thought about making a hard line internally with hoses to caliper and master cylinder or even hard line off master through forks with only one hose to caliper but decided I really preffer it out. Having it out there fit the look I was after.
I just noticed you kept the brake set up on the left side. You thought about running it on the right side so you don't have to run the line over to the opposite side? I originally was going to go left side brake as it came OE but changed it to the right for a straight shot with the brake hose.

I noticed your trees were different than mine. Mine are off-set. All I did was call Scooter's Performance and tell him I wanted the dragon springer set up for a wide glide front end. He gave me the best price at the time. I haven't quite finished it up to be able to ride yet. I did the springer, the Heartland kit, belt drive, paint and jockey shift in one jump this time around.....
Here's a side shot
Refuze - funy how we forget we've seen something, right? I do that too.
I don't really care too much for the seat, but will run it until next year until I decide on a custom one I like.
BTW: the spring seat is a fake with the bobber kit. That is one thing I changed on mine.....
The bottom of the top tree plate has a channel run in it to hide the brake line. I already had the front rim with the rotor. Harley springers are set up with right side brake. I gotta be different.... LOL!
I'm really thinkin that rocker is gonna look kickass with the springer on it. I was talking to a buddy at work the other day saying I'd like to play with a Rocker - springer, sprung seat, round oil tank, black out the motor...... LOL!
Funny thing is I had already purchased the Heartland kit and springer before the Rocker or CrossBones hit the market.....
