Normally, I am pretty good at figuring things out, but this one has me just plain stumped. I bought a set of throwover saddlebags. No matter how far I adjust them up, they still sit way to close to the exhaust (stock exhaust by the way). Any advice, or suggestions I can try? I am probably overlooking something really obvious, and will probably have a 'doh moment, but I am not seeing a solution.
the fatboys pipes are high on the bike (i think its the only model with these pipes),they have fatboy bags that fit but they are small...........your gonna have to change pipes or bags

Hmmm. Excuse to buy new pipes. If I don't my bags will melt.
yes, dont know why that pipe design but i think the stock xbones are the same.............my dads fatty has the fatty bags but there shorter to fit the pipe but hd bags are wayyy to much cash
i bought some throw overs in mexico and cut them in two and took some out the middle.kinda like doin a fender.don't know if its any help to ya
Pottsy... 96black is on the money on that one. My brother in law had the same bike, bag, problem. He measured where it was going to go and a local leather guy in town did the cut and stich. It came out great and very inexpensive to do. Then again...it is a good excuse for new pipes!!!!
Thanks for the input guys. I have them adjusted up as far as they will go, so I will have to mess with them and see what I can figure out.
In relation to this, I recently put passenger floorboards on for my girl, any known issues with particular exhaust interfering with floorboards on a fat boy?
