Looks for sure.....I do think it handles better too, but that could be in my brain, I like it just watch out for the big bumps they seem bigger now. I rid mine everywhere and its good for me.
I dropped the rear of mine a little over an inch to compensate for the 18" wheel and to make it easier for my 5'3" girlfriend to get on the back. I used Progressive 422s and the ride is better than stock. I lean through the corners like crazy, and I've never scraped anything.
Mine actually handles better although I did it for the look.
I hardly ever scrape and when it does its the frame rails as it aint my opegs or my pipe.
I was looking at the HD website and noticed that the Night Train in the buy a bike section has the front end slammed to the point of being photo shopped or severly modded simply gutted fork tubes.
My Deuce is down 1 1/2" with Progressives in rear and 1" in front also Progressives. Zero difference in handling since rake etc essentially unchanged, slightly better ride than stock...WAY better than lowered with bolts only. The Deuce is sorta unique with the dirt bike rear fender look and lowering helps that a bunch...as does the aluminum inspection plate and cut down license plate bracket. I dragged big time before and drag bigger time lowered. My neighbor says he can track me by following the white marks in corners.
OK forget all that
I am too short to flat foot almost anything so call it a safety/confidence modification. John
