It's the SAS air suspension system, and appears to be fairly new, and a very interesting piece of equipment. I e-mailed this dealer, and his information is that it's sold for both "show" and performance. I'm not savy enough about air suspension, so I don't know if it can out perform a standard style system. I'm currently running the Progressive 422's, and not happy. Penske and Ohlins are out of the softtail suspension business, so there's just not a lot of options out there.
I was hoping someone who really knew might be able to offer some suggestions as to weather this will work well on a performance level.
Thanks for any input,
Frank
Get It! You won't regret it! I've got a Platinum Feed/Bleed System on mine and it's AWESOME! My wife rides with me alot and she loves it too. It's way more comfortable. And when I'm by myself I can slam it if I want and ride.
But with the SAS kit, you don't have to run all the air lines and stuff like mine. So you don't have to worry about air lines leaking. I got mine for a steal from ebay. But if I'd have bought a new kit it would be SAS.
Thew only down side to the sas ( a killer designed system and very nice) is that it has to be dropped to drain the transmission. I also have the Platinum Bleed and feed and love it. Platinum is a different company from SAS for those who are not aware.
Thank you all for the information. And I apologize for bringing up stuff that's already been covered. I honestly searched - for weeks. I knew there had to be something out there, just wasn't smart enough to find it. Now, thanks to you guys, I've got a bunch of stuff to choose from.
Guess my only last question would be a technical one: how does air ride compare to the standard spring and fluid valving systems?
Again, thanks to all who responded.
Frank
