I have a 140 on front. I set the 8" trojan on the tire and it looked about a little wide for the tire. Of course it also would not fit between the fork tubes. Tomorrow i will call Exile and see how long it will take to get the 7". It shoud fit like a glove.
Besides them sending the wrong size fender I was also not happy with the finish of the fender. Thw weld down the center left aridge that would have to be taken care of and the corners at eh front and rear of the fender are squared off instead of rounded like the pictures. You would think a $400 fender would be just about ready for paint.
I called Exile today and was told that they no longer make the 7" fender. They told me to squeeze it together and make it fit. So I think what I will do is cut 1" out of the middle of the fender and reshape the ends.
Nice bike there.I like the motor color with the sterling pipes.Bike flows pretty good front to rear.
Thanks for the heads up on customer service at Exile.G.
Is that the stock front tire agapsdiver? I have a 09 and took my front fender off the other day. I need a new one already. The paint have some cracks in it. I have been waiting a couple of weeks for it to come in. The bike transformation has started. I like what you have done so far. I was thinking of powder coating my rims as well. They look good!
If you are asking about my bike then yes it is the new D408 140-17. I wish they made the D427 as seen on the streetbob in a 140 or 150-17 and 200 -17. I will eventually powdercoat all the chrome argent to match the ceramic coating on the pipes.
In other news I installed a tri bar led taillight yesterday. Man it looks great. I will get pics up soon.
