I like the old school look. I want to put heritage springer front fender on xbones.I like the length of a heritage for rear also and have looked at some after market 9 inch heritage style fenders but all i've found is fiberglass but want metal. What year fender would work for front and what would be involved in doing it.Also any help with rear fender in a heritage style being it's longer than fat boy fender.Getting new bones in a couple of weeks and want to get my ducks in a row.I've seen some great pics in forum, that leaves many things to ponder. Please help with your suggestions. Thanks .

Ditto on being cheap OC! I do everything on the cheap as much as possible. Part of me being cheap is slavaging what I can if it means I can get some money out of it to help pay for the other stuff. I thought the same thing when I was first looking at my parts list but I I decided that I wanted to preserve that front fender and all its parts in case I either want to ever reuse it or sell it.
Here is my list:
Front Fender FLSTS/FLSTSC Primered #59164-97A
Front Axle #41116-97
Thick Slotted (castle) Hex Nut #7987
Washer, 5/8 ID X 1.125 OD
Spacer,Wheel,Front (R) #43624-00
Axle Nut Spacer (L) 9268
Spacer Insert (R) 9196
Bearing, Spherical (x2) 9194
Nylon Fender Insert (x2) #9207 with O Ring (x2) #11261 (See note below)
Chrome Hub Cap (x2) #43466-97
Hub Can Seal (x2) #43467-97
The O Rings listed come with the nylon fender insert. When I asked about them septerately, the parts people told me that #11261 brought up some $800 exhaust part. When I saw them in the parts book I noticed that under the listing for the Nylon Insert it read "w/11261 x2. The nylong insert is a plastic ring with a grooved outter edge. The rubber O-ring fits in this groove.
I would quote you prices but I got different discounts on everything I bought from 10-15% so my prices might not coincide with what you might get quoted by the dealer. I got my fender brand new in the box on eBay for dirt cheap and I scavanged my hub caps, hub cap seals and fender light off another fender that I bought on eBay and then resold to another forum member.
I can't post any images of the blow up diagrams here because of copyright rules. Email me @ cgrodriguez@earthlink.net and I will see what I can do.
i would like to buy a complete crossbones front fender with mounting hardware if anyone has one for sale please contact me. Or possible we could trade the whole front end but i would rather just buy the fender and mounting hardware
