Just bought a 1997 Soft Tail Custom. What should I be looking for. It was very clean Never dropped or wrecked and has 6,203 original miles. Seven Thousand even. Had to get it. All I have seen is minor surface rust and a couple of paint chips. Has lots of goddies as well. Engine guard and pegs, custom gas caps and mirrors, luggage rack, screaming eagle mufflers, Custom Corbin seat, windshield. Sounds great. Needs battery. What are some checks you can reccomend etc. Has taken good care of it, Thanks.
Have no way to post pics. Use computer infrequently @ library and want to get started on this project ASAP. Need to know if there are any problems inherant with this particular model and year. Complete service is a given. What I need to know about are the foibles.
and ppl give me **** for my online posting manners....... You guys all need to remember that not everyone here lives on or even owns a computer, hell not everyone understands online humor either, even if it is good natured.
