Wife and I go around 380 total and I just had them firm up the shocks before we picked it up and its worked fine for us for 21k.
The first thing i did at 1k was SERT, K&N A/C, Rush2", and dyno. to get her breathing better and cool her down. It did just that, Plus I used syn oil in the motor, and form+in the other 2.
Your scoot ain't worth a hoot if you can't be comfortable on it. First thing I did was had my seat modified. What a difference. But if all you're gonna do is bar-hop, then skip step one and go straight to pipes.
iso grip are pretty much a given..I am ok with the seat right now.. If I go with pipes im think true duals for that retro look.
what are the makor differences between the fuel mamnagements systems (pcv, thundermax etc
I love the look of true duals. I originally wanted those for my deluxe, but decided against them as they are very low with the fishtails. I know a couple of people that have them and they do scrape the pavement from time to time when cornering. I'm sure you'd get used to the amount of clearance eventually. They do sound great and look awesome.
I'm not the one to ask about fuel management. I can tell you this, I tried the Stage 1 download, which I definitely don't recommend. I have an SE Super tuner and did the dyno tune. It works great!! I'm really happy with it, but I am sure they are better alternatives, like Fuel Motto and power commander, etc. I don't have enough experience to say what is best. I got the Super Tuner and dyno because it was free....long story!!
