Ok so it seems that the widowmaker may jack up your fender. The harley touring strut seat kit looks great. How do they ride? Could rider and passenger weight be a big factor on the widowmaker messing up the fender? Any one find anything new? I've been looking but the finds remain the same.

How difficult would it be to fit a Rocker C seat on an 80 Sportster?

With proper tools and skills it’s maybe possible, but that seat is so damn ugly, you would completely ruin the looks of your Sportster.
Don’t do it.

That goes with what I've heard from several HD owners... The seat wouldn't look good. I don't care for the design of the original seat either, though. Any reccomendations as to a good custom seat for it?

imo best solution is to switch to the fxcw option and get the pillion passenger seat that snaps on

My new passenger seat from Rocker Customs. My wife said it's more comfortable than the seat on my Road King !!! Smaps on and off like the original but it is much more sturdy. Can't store it under the seat like the "pad" but it works great just to snap it on when we take the Rocker for a ride.

Do your a$$ a favor and get a Danny Grey Stock Rocker seat suck for comfort I can ride 600 miles a day on my danny grey no issue I did it for 10 days this summer on my road trip. And my a$$ felt great.
