had that happen to a buddy but he hit a bad pothole and that caused it.........dont let her ride it like eather.........proly cant anyway but dont take a risk

we have had the tire for about 8 months, and you can feel the belts below the tread. I noticed the bulge while we were on a short cruise and road back
home very slowly. We are now waiting to hear from Metzler as howto deal with this as the Harley dealership we bought it from is now Closed. They say they are looking for a dealer in our area to honor the warranty. I don't see this as a common problem as it would mean a giant lawsuit if someone were to get hurt from the Delamination. I am sure that they will address this issue. HD

 

I've seen it a number of times with Metzlers...happened twice to my brother in law and also saw it on a buddies bike about two months ago...I'll never buy them -

 

bought two 180 55 18 metzlers for my deuce and both of them developed a bump right in the middle of the tires. Never again, switched to avon.

 

Wow that sucks brah... Where are you in the Islands? South Seas, and Dominico's sell Metz. on Oahu... They should give you a new one man... That could have been very bad. Any chance it could have been a pot hole as you know we have many of those in the 808.

I live on the Big Island, and the HD dealers have closed their Doors(both inHilo and Kona). I'm down in the Ka'u District HD

 

Thats why you need to be sure to get the German made ones....
