Cool Delamination

Has anyone had this happen to them? These pics were taken of my ol lady's
bike, they are metzler 880 21, the bubble/bumb started at about 1750 miles
on the tire. We are going to get another Metzler as I believe this to be an exception. We have rode Metzler for years. HD

Could have predicted this would happen... it's what you get from Brazil.

Love the way Metzelers grip, the mileage not so much. Looks like I'll get around 9,000 miles out of my set.

I've got a 160/18 rear, so the ME880s are the only tire I can use. Good thing I like 'em.

Had some quality issues when they moved production down south....
have not heard of this recently... how old are the tires?

I know when the issue originally came up they were replacing them under warranty...

I've read that the Metz'a are now being made in Brazil or somewhere and they are have this kind of problems. Found the problem with Metz tires while looking for new set last month..

Wow, that sux! How long have they been in Brasil? I've used them for the last two sets of tires, was a diehard fan cause they only make motorcycle tires. Since they are down south I guess I'll have to go with Avon. Damn corporate greed, killing this country!!
