Help! Bike won't start

Help! Bike won't start
So I washed the bike today. I went to start it to pull it in to the garage, and it made a noise ( I was listening to my ipod) and now nothing works. If I turn on the ignition, nothing lights up on the panel, but the headlight, signals, and odometer come on. The swithes do nothing.
I have checked fuses and battery connections. I'm looking for a voltmeter to check the battery, its somewhere in this garage.
Any thoughts? I had to push her up the driveway, and I have a steep azz driveway! Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

Okay, It starts now, but there is no N light. Also the blinker arrows on the panel flash 6 times.
Now would be a good time for a manual! I'm going to take it around the block, to see if the speedo works.

Speedo isn't working. Is there a fuse? Where? I'll look under the panel.
Ok.. Figured it out. I replaced the fuse for instrumentation, and now it works. Even though the fuse did not appear to be blown? Oh well. Thanks anyway.

Thanks Chaz. We are pretty close. Did you say that you were off Dublin? I appreciate the offer bro. Man, I got caught out in that storm on friday. It was pretty crazy. I think that might have had something to do with it. I took the housing off and let it dry out, put it all back together and she fired up.
