I've seen that alot of you have the chrome headlight nacelle kit. I think they look really slick and am thinking about putting one on. I am also looking at doing the handlebars at the same time. I would like to bury the wiring internally. Unfortunately, most of the handlebars listed in the catalog say they can't be used with the nacelle kit. I really like the narrow beach bars, but that too says they won't work. Just wondering what others have done and how it's turned out. Any tips would be greatly appreciated and pictures of course are always welcome.
The nacelle riser cover is designed for 1" bars. The bars you like are 1 1/4". I have this on my 04 Fatty with 1 1/2 inch beach bars. All you have to do is grind the openings out a little bit to accomodate the bigger bars. If you're careful, you wont have to re-chrome the cover. You can't always listen to what the catalogs say will or will not fit, you have to use common sense and the only difference in the bars that the nacelle is made for and the bars you want is 1/8" around the circumference of the opening. I hope this helps.
Hey Dr. you can try Wild 1 bars. They have top quality products. Click here for the site. There are some pics of a Fatboy set up the way you are talking about. Good luck in you quest.
Thanks for the info guys. Wild1 bars do have some great looking bars. Rick, that is one nice looking ride you have there. Nice job, and thanks for the pics.
