Am considering the Fat mini-apes for my 05 Deluxe. Being a chick, I do not see myself with anything taller (sorry Dear. )
I have been searching for pics but not getting lucky with finding modified bars. Most all I see are stock. Also I am not sure what riser height I'll need. I have 4" risers now (I think) and am thinking they will do well with the minis. Also I was wondering if the stock cables length would work or will I need to modify them?
i just put them on my rocker i love them, i also used the hd far risers with hidden bolts & yes you will have to change your cables, tou will like these if you like the feel of the her. classic

The HD mini ape is what 10"?
If thats the case you may wanna put em on a 1.5 riser. 10+4 is 14". I'm 6" not a chick and have 12"s on a 1.5" heritage riser. I couldnt imagine them being on a 4"....Not just the looks either. It would be too tall. 12+1.5" is 13.5" and just perfect as my hands are level with my shoulders using a La Pera bare bones seat.
Sit on the bike, close yer' eyes and reach up and into space for what comfortable for you. Have a friend measure where yer' hands end up.
You may end up at that 14"......Then again you may not. Comfort first!! Yeah...Right.
This is a set of Krome Werks narrow 12" Mini Apes on a 1.5" riser. Perfect for my big ***!
There was a pic of a deluxe in last years parts catalog with the mini apes. It was one of their "modified bikes" they do. You might want to try your dealer as the new catalogs are in and they would probably just give you wan old one.
I have the Wild 1 "mini apes" on my springer classic. I installed them with my stock risers. If I'm not mistaken, the harley 1 1/4" bars will require new risers made for that diameter. Whereas the Wild 1's are 1 1/4" but step back down to 1" diameter at the riser mounting location which means you won't have to shell out your hard earned money for new ones. They make apes in various heights and the quality is top notch. Just a thought.
I had'em on my 05 Deluxe for about a year. My hands stayed numb. I thought, what the heck, change'm out and see if it helps. I went to some Khromewerks Sweeper bars and love'm! My hands never get numb anymore. If you want to see some pics of an 05 Deluxe with mini apes, I believe I have some old pics on my profile page with my mini apes on......and yes, you will need to change cables.
