How much do you think?
OK, I am trying to sell my 2006 softail to buy a 2009 Street Glide. I have put a **** load of money into this bike. I know that I can't get back what I have put into it, thats a given. What I would like to know is what would you guys on the forum be willing to pay for a bike like this? I have listed all the mods that have been done. I would appreciate some honest answers.

Nice bike, but you'd be lucky to get more than 14 or 15 for it. People tend to shy away from customized bikes for reliability reasons, and (no offense) I wouldn't consider a chain-drive at any price.
On top of that, it's an '06, so you've got an 88 with a 5-speed.
Keep it. Unless you're really lucky, you won't get anything near what you've got in it.

maybe best ideal would be put it back to stock and sell the parts. i think you would get more
i would say 12 for the stock bike and maybe 14 to 16 for yours but your limit yourself to someone who likes your mods.

Absolutely.

Turn it from a pro street looking chopper into something completly different.
Toss that over fork on E-Bay and replace it with a set of FL style forks or a short springer.
Turn that bike into a your own version of a fatboy or a heritage. Put a memphis shades batwing on it.
You spent this much...Why stop now? Make a radical complete change so you fall in love all over again?

What would you like to get for the bike?
How many miles on it?
I agree with the other poster as to not putting over 30k invested with your ad. That line is so played. PLEASE DON'T BE ONE OF THEM! I was in the market looking recently for my bike and I wouldn't even bother with anyone who listed this in their ad. This already tells me the person thinks they are going to get top dollar for all their mods. You usually can't bargain with these guys. I still see many of these bikes on craigslist. On top of that, they were mods I really didn't care for anyway.
Well bringing the bike back to stock will be alot of work as obviously the rear was changed. Struts were cut, chain, wider rim etc. What's left, taking off the added chrome? How much will that save as the bike will not be as attractive. Rims are always great to take off and resell but you can't do that either because stock won't go back.
I would sell as is and try to get what you want but you will need to be patient. As well as regular ads, you should hit some big bike meets with a 4sale on it as I always see bigger number bikes move at these places.

Some good & honest feedback here. Trends, economy, one's pocket book & perfect customer determine what value can be placed on any item. Your bike is an investment, from any perspective...however, it's a gamble on getting the right price at the right time! Your enthusism in HD is evident, as your looking to upgrade to another model....good stuff, but the flip side is...your willing to accept a quick turn-around, at some loss to get on the dream bike. To each his/her own....have done this a couple times in my years, as well.....but in the end, you'll have to determine the priorities. Riding season still has a few mths (speaking from a Canuk perspective) of qual travels left, however best to enjoy them w/what you currently have & re-visit things over the down-time...perhaps listing it next spring...when young (or old) minds are high in testosterone....like I said, it's all in the timing! Good-luck, in your endevours....you can be proud of your ride, at any rate...RIDE-FREE!!
