The mileage on that bike is nothing. I think my Heritage began to smooth out and hit its stride when it clicked past the 20K mark.

PS: if the bike is nice, and you pass on it at that price, tell me where it is. I 'll buy it.

Remember the guys' post. He said he really doesn’t need another bike. He just thought it was a sweet deal that he couldn’t pass up. I thought it was an OK deal but could find something for the money with less miles. What’s the problem with that?

In the time that I had I didn't find any 2000 Springers but I did find a few later models that are decent deals with low miles. I’m in the NorthEast. There is seasonal riding for the most part. Not myself but a majority of motorcyclist here do not take their bikes out in the winter months so they never accumulate those miles.

Second of all, we are all HD enthusiast. We are so much into our rides we even post to an HD forum. We are not the norm. You/We are not like the general motorcycling public. Most people don’t put serious miles on their bikes. There are so many brand new machines collecting dust in garages everywhere.

Like I said, I couldn’t find any 2000’s, just some later models in the time that I had. If I had a month or two I would find a few 2000 Springers with 5K or less for $8000 without a prob. That is all that I am saying. So here’s what I found in 1 hour with what I consider low miles and a sweet deal. Cash in hand always make the deal sweeter.

2006 Harley Davidson ONLY 200 MILES - $11500 (North Jersey)

2004 Harley Davidson Springer Softail - $11999

2001 Harley Davidson Springer Softail FXSTS - $10000

2003 HARLEY DAVIDSON SOFT TAIL SPRINGER^^SHOWROOMBIKE^^2700mi - $11000
http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcy/1271752096.html

WITH THAT SAID, DON'T BREAK MY *****.... DAM YOU!
DAM YOU ALL....

You probably would not have given $3,850 for my pretty much stock 84 Sportster with 50,000 on it either. But that is what I got. Around here, anything with less than 30,000 miles is low, and most sell for at least $10,000, so I think a 2000 Springer, with very low miles, is a real bargain at that price.

If I were looking for a used 2009, yeah, I would pass on your bike for one with less miles that was just as clean for the same money. Why not?
