Default Gas Consumption

yesterday riding home my heritage started spitting and sputtering like it was running out of gas. I switched to reserve and it got no better. I just barely got to a gas station. Looked into the tank and could see a little gas, but couldn't tell how much. I went ahead and filled up. The bike ran ok the rest of the way home. Is this normal? My Sportster would always continue on with no problem but this heritage has me a little worried. I have always depended on the reserve to warn me when i needed to fill up. Had i not been 100 yards from a station i dont think I would have made it.

Default RE: Gas Consumption

Maybe you got some bad gas on your last fill up or there was dirt or water in your tank. I have never had that problem in my Heritage.
