Default Warmup?

Do you guys let your bikes warm up for a minute or two before leaving or just get on and go? My local indy said you need to let them warm up for at least a minute but reading the Clutch in or out thread got me to wondering about this

yeah - I fire mine up, put on my helmet, gloves and hit the garage door opener... then I'm ready to go. since I live in a subdivision, I take it slow and easy for a couple of blocks.

Doesn't it make since to give the bike time to properly lubricate itself before you put a load on it. I just shake my head when I go to some of the local rallies and some idiot cranks his bike up cold and immediatly does a burnout or hits the rev limiter. I just stand there and hope that his engine comes apart and takes his dumb azz out w/ it.
In other words YES I do let my bike warm up.

Yeah I always start the bike up then put on my glasses and helmet and wait for it to warm up but reading the clutch in or out thread it sounded like alot of members don't warm them up

I have seen that at many rallies also.

I was told it was better to start and not let the engine idle, just take it slow and easy first couple of miles ...

I have read too long a warm is not a good idea. I turn mine on as I am putting on my helmet and gloves.

wow really?? I have always let my toys warm up b4 heading out and as FLSTC4ME said isn't it better for the juices to be warm and flowing before riding???

I would like to know the rational behind this one...
