I'm not selling them. I was just trying to get some info on them, i.e. value, age, etc.
I bought them from a friend for a lot less than they are worth. I paid him exactly what he paid for them not too long ago. He just switched to hard bags. (We both felt they were worth more, but didn't know how much.)
Someone is selling a set of them, with a $200 starting bid. eBay item # 170371601689 . They appear to be a bit more worn than mine, but it could just be the photographs aren't showing them as good as they actually look.
Since I can find so little about these bags, does anyone know what kind of brackets I need to attach these to the bike? I don't want to go custom made ($$$). I'd rather get what is supposed to be used, or as close to it as possible.
Don't have my catalog with me but those are from the mid 90's. Badboy bags pretty sure with the black studs, if not then they are the Loggerhead bags. Worth around $200 in that condition, hard to find. Hope this helps.

Guess I've been busy riding. Haven't been on here in a while. Thank you for that info! I do believe they are the Badboy bags from your description.
They are still in the bike shed - can't keep the bike still long enough to put them on there! LOL
Nice to know the $200 value. Both my friend and I got a good deal on them. He got a good deal on hard bags for his bike and sold these leather ones to me.
But, now that the bike is sitting still, I think I ought to go put my highway pegs on. I am going to get the brackets for the bags from my friend, next time we meet up. So, the bags will soon go on the bike!
the 2nd photo does look like the heritage softail bags from the late 90's to 2000, but all the ones i've seen had the fringes. i couldn't enlarge the photo big enough to read the part number. if you send me the part number i can look it up under obsolecent parts and give you a better idea. they look like they came off of a bike from the late 80's or early 90's
