Looks badass Bro!!

You went lower than I did....

I still have 1.5" of spacer in mine that I have been hesitant to cut as our roads here kinda suck and to be honest it handles so good I'm skeered to fvck up a good thing!!

I have 4.5" from boot to bottom of tree so how much spacer is used plays a big role in the final ride height. I havent scraped not even once.....Then again mine looks like a Motocrossder compared to you and Dakerbs!

I dunno...I'm mulling it over. The bike has never handled this good. The thing is a "Ginsu Edition" Train. It slices, it dices, its sharp as fvck.

My thing is with all the one handed riding I dont want to take off so much preload or in essence have no preload and have a mushy fork that dives. I have almost no noticible dive through the fork as mine sits with that big chunk of pipe in the fork. This is critical as I often find myself being uber bold and simply riding with one hand on the Jockey shift and one on the throttle....I'm now to the point of stopping at stoplights and stop signs one handed. If I get a slew of dive or mush? This could spell disaster for my newfound Jockey shifter guy balancing act skills....

Yeah...Sounds good. I'm chopping my spacers down tomorrow night!!'

If it handles like chit I'll go back and put the 1.5 back in the bike.

Nice kill Bro. Your Train looks badass.

Chaz
Do you remember how much fork oil you used? Or anyone for that matter. I put in 12oz each fork. The manual for FXST's says 12.5oz and for FL's it says 13.4oz. I am guessing by FL it means the bike not the tube length(since our tubes are now considered 2000-up FL tubes). Mine seems a little mushy, maybe i should add a little more oil. I used a turkey baster to measure the oil so it may not be exactly perfect. I did step up to the screaming eagle oil.
Thanks for the compliments guys.

Mine has right at 11.5 in each leg.....The manual for my 05' FXSTB called for 12 Zones.

Its not the fork oil making yours mushy. Its the lack of preload due to your short spacer.

You may want to run 1" worth of PVC pipe to put some load on the springs. I'm taking a tad off mine to come down just a hair and hopefully not create a Mushmobile!!

Cool, thanks
I have plenty of pvc pipe laying around, so I may play with it some and try and fine tune it.

There is a 15wt and a 20wt. I went with the 15wt.
SE heavy 15wt
SE race 20wt.

I though the regular is like 10WT the Heavy or race is 20WT....Harley marks that SE oil funny.

It looks like type E is 5wt, type B is 10wt. I am thinking heavy is 15wt and race is 20wt. Harley advertises the "race" as not for street use, so it must be the heaviest weight.

Anyway..I like it, but I'd like it better w/out the apes

well, a badlander was substituted for the front end drop for the time being. Itll be another week or so before i can drop the front. I rode with my girl right after I dropped the rear end and she says she feels like shes leanin back more, guess it makes sense.
