Who can tell me more about these? Are they durable, and do they take away from performance? Pros/Cons?

Think SE phat wires or the new ones from Accel. If ya' gotta blink dont do it in on a companent as critical as your plug wires!!

Don't screw around with that. You want your energy where it belongs: in the spark. The less energy reaches the sparkplug, the weaker your spark will be, and that will affect your ignition.
