I talked to shawn today at www.imperialhouse71.comand im getting a matte black biltwell with gold/silverleaf flame design on it with gloss black pinstripping. He's gonna e-mail me the design tomarrow. Looking forward to seeing it. $215.00 for helmet and work. I was thinking of comming up with something myself as well as doing the work but looked at his style and gave him a call. We'll see what he comes up with. That megaflake RB sceme sure is nice...
I love the old school helmets I have an easy rider one and just bought an nos buco with silver flake in it off ebay. Im gonna have to check these out though sounds easier then having the old ones relined
"Everyone I ride with tells me how ugly my orange helmet is I just tell them F off they all wish they were cool enough to sport an orange helmet"
I laughing hard...cyring....I scared my 3 year old son and he told my wife that daddy's crazy. I was just looking at those here in Alabama (work)....pink one for my daughter...I will have to check out the website. maybe that orange or something nasty....Good post Chaz!
Well I have to be the traitor here. I just ordered a Fulmer v2 in GOLD flake and am anxiously awaiting the UPS man too. I'll be out at the truck when I hear it on the corner. I got an older helmet off ebay (From someone in Adrian, MI, is taht you jed?) and it was way too big for me. Sold it for twice what I paid in two days. So , I went and tried on Fulmers and ordered the right size for me. I don't care if it matches, GOLD is just bad to the bone. Besides, of the people I ride with one has the silver fulmer and another the blue. I gotta set my own trend. I'll post pics when it gets here. We do have a helemt law so DOT is mandatory for me, especially having been ticketed for a non DOT helmet in the past. I need need that kind of hassle.
I've been looking at them for awhile myself. Don't know whether to get black and have it custom striped, or get a white one and custom paint it.
That's what I was wondering when I was looking at the Biltwell helmets. So I ended up buying an early 1970's white helmet off ebay for like $36.00. I'm gonna paint it. It's perfect except the little piece of foam that goes in the very top. The vintage helmets have really came down in price lately. I'm still thinking about getting a Biltwell later too.
