Default Back rest for hotties

My hottie needs a back rest for long rides.

I own a 250-tired 2001 FXSTC. It appears as if the measurement from outside to outside of the fender struts is 13". Am I going to have to fabricate something, or can one find this sort of backrest bracket in the aftermarket, and then add the HD backrest pad to it? Are the pads universal?

Thanks for the help!

Most just have either 1 or 3 threaded nut inserts. They are spaced a little differently. Probably should have the pad before you start fabricating.

Tell ya'll what I came up with:

PNs 51144-02 Tall Sissy bar upright,
and
51099-02 Tall backrest Pad

Both for 00-later Deuce

Worked like a charm, saved HOURS of fabricating, no strut attachment.

Thanks for everyone's input!

Steve
