yup I've had mine wrapped on the NT for over 3 years. The sporty over 2 years and no problems. High temp paint the covers and follow as others said. Pc'd mine the first time it did not hold up the paint is much better.
How did you prep the covers? Also, what bars are those and how much and where did you get them? AND what risers are those? lol Thanks.
da sander w/ 80 grit followed by 200 grit. Clean w/ paint ready cleaner. Follow the instructions on the high temp paint. The good stuff calls for a baking in your oven.(smells like cookies...not really). La chopper knock off, sporty risers, clamp? God who know where you pick stuff up.DNA has good rims for cheap if ya really want some spokes.
Painted first with BBQ flat black high temp paint. I think that was a fifty foot roll. Cut it in half, soak it in water and put one end of the wrap in a vice and roll your pipe towards the vice, keeping a lot of tension on it. Keep it tight, your forearms will kill in the morning. Stop where ever and secure it with SS clamp. Run/ride bike until it dries.
Don't have new disc yet, where are my priorities? Gonna try to see them Feb 5 in Chicago. I've been a fan since South of Heaven.
Thanks for the tips! You make me feel old because I've been a fan since "Show No Mercy". lol
