Default PCIII part number help needed

I ordered a PCIII power commander from fuelmotousa.com yesterday, and just got the package in the mail today. I have a 2007 night train, but only problem is on the packing it says "814-511 PCIII USB,07-08 H-D DYNA".

I e-mailed fuelmoto, but they're not open on weekends so I'm going to have to wait until Monday to contact them. I just got the parts for stage I and wanted to do the install this weekend, so I'm checking to see if any of you guys know if this is the right part or not or if it will work with my bike.

Thanks!

Looking at the pc III site they should have sent an 813-511 and not an 814-511. 2007 Softtail uses the 813 series. Looks like someone miss read a number.

Yeah I just looked it up myself. I was hoping somehow they are compatible because I paid for next day air to get it in today so I could do the entire stage 1 tomorrow (v&h big radius, fuelmoto stage I air cleaner, pcIII). I'm probably going to go to a local shop to see if I can get one on the spot so I could still do the installs this weekend.

I'm hoping fuelmoto will live up to their reputation of being a reputable store and refund the PCIII and the money for shipping since the only reason I paid for the shipping was to get the stuff in for the weekend, but that got screwed up.

Mistakes happen. (Damn Parts Guys of which I am one)
Jamie will make it right for you. They are good people.
Chances are, that you have the map loaded in the one they sent you and if you get one from another source it will not have a map included.
It sucks but I would wait and talk to Jamie.
Good luck.

I agree with DeadMan 77. I would wait and let the folks at Fuelmoto make it right. Easy mistake to make when all the PCIII models have similar part numbers. Besides it's only a matter of a few days and your in business again. Just my 2 bits worth.

Yeah you guys are probably right to wait to get another from fuelmoto, just my impatience kicking in. It was like christmas in August, UPS brought 4 packages to me today

Would it be ok to install the pipes and the stage I air cleaner without the PCIII and run it like that for a few days? Would there be any bad effects? I'm pretty sure the pipes are ok since it doesn't change the air/fuel ratio, but not sure if it's ok with the air cleaner.

I'm not a bike tech but the only thing I could see happening by putting on pipes and aircleaner without remapping is that you may get some decel popping. At least this seems to be the most common complaint for that type of upgrade and my RK suffers from it also. Hence I will be ordering my PCIII from Fuelmoto in the very near future.

You could do the Pipes and AC but will be running lean if all highway miles could probably get by with it .. in town or heavy traffic would run extremely hot in my opinion wait til have it all .. have a lot of money invested in the Bike ...
