Definitely a cool factor. The ultima has one that I'm really diggin a lot. Powder coat the cover and it would look silly. I will have to post a link when I can. People bitch about the sound but I like it. More of a hot rod feel.

I found a new Ultima for under a grand. I think I am going to get one and do the rims later.

I would say eBay. The only problem I have with eBay is that some of the ones are not real specific on whether it fits or not. I don't wanna start putting it on then realize it does not work. EBay definitely has some of the cheapest ones.

Just get the part number and look it up on that companies site and see if it will fit. They have some bdl's for cheap

I just bought BDL`s belt drive for my Rocker and it does fit but I have to find a 9/16" spacer for inbetween the motor and the motor plate. And then I am gonna need a 9/16" space for the crank pulley also. From what I can find knowone makes a spacer of that size. If you know of any one that does let me know. I might just have to buy a 3/4" spacer and mill it down, and make the pully space on the lathe.

BDL is the way to go. Less maintenance. No primary oil to change! I can get you a great discount on most open belt drives including PM. BDL, etc. I dislike Ultima's. Quality is not very good. If I had a few grand to part with, I'd be all over it! Everyone call the shop and tell Shawn I need a BDL belt drive for a Christmas bonus this year! PM or email for pricing with the part number please. I can save you a substantial amount on these.

defenetly give it that hod rod look like it my self but not enough to spend more than a couple hundred. you spend that kind of money I would want some power gain or something not just a look. But then agian thats what everyone wants is there own look. at leased for the area there in;.

I have run bdl and primo with no problems but went on the cheap with the ultima race unit and after 3000 miles the clutch hub/basket is notched where the clutch dogs ride think it is soft alum. so I would go with bdl.

Phatts make sure your getting the Rocker adapter plate as well. I was going to pull the trigger on a belt drive but the best price I could do was around 2600.00 bucks...
