Nice Work Jcap .. This being posted in the Softail area will only say if the Street Glide is what have your sights on talk to them.. But only you can decide what a fair difference in Price is..
If your going to rip around for a hour or two keep the softail. If you going to do some serious riding don't think twice about it , get the SG. Totally different suspension made for cruising+comfort. Handles just as good or better than the fatty. Take one for a ride-then decide.
+1. All depends on the types of rides you're going on.
Tough decision. For me when I was ready to buy, it came down to the SG and the Fatty. No regrets, but the SG will be my second HD in addition to the Fatty.
Well you guys are going to think I'm crazy for this, but if the #'s were right for me I would and will trade my 07 fatboy for a 09 SG! The reason is the SG comes with everything, yes you can turn your fatboy into a SG, like the guy in this post did " VERY NICE BY THEWAY"! , but how much $$$ would that end up being in the end? VS just buy a bike that comes with everything? I love the way my Fatboy rides, sitting low in the seat and etc. Just think a Fatboy does not look right with saddlebags, no matter what type of bags you put on it, it just doesn't look right? A heritage, SG, EG, etc they loook right. Atleast that's my opinion. I think I have made up my mind and so when the time comes I will trade for either a SG 09 or a 09 or 2010 heritage.
you are right the fatboy looks lousy with bags lol.. i have the 2010 fatboy lo the only thing i will put on is the back short back rest. i like my bike plain jane......the touring line of bikes look cool GO FOR A BAGGR GOOD LUCK
I first had a sporty and said I would never buy a bagger and now I have a deluxe and I am def gonna buy some bags for it.When you do any type of distance it sure is nice to have them bags and windshield.Like I said never thought I would but they really are nice to have.Go for the sg you wont be dissapointed.
I think one of the main things for me on my Fatboy, is the DAMN BLUE STRIPE ! that HD decided to do. I Like the pearl white gold paint, but they screwed it up with a lovely blue stripe. If there was a way I could remove the stripe I would. Any sugestions ?
